FAQ
Questions before you book
Straight answers to what people ask us most.
How much of a trip can my employer pay?
Dutch employers can give their staff perks tax-free, up to a yearly budget: the free allowance under the work-costs scheme (werkkostenregeling). For one person, up to € 2.400 a year is usual.
Your employer can pay more than that, but then owes 80% tax on the extra. Or you pay the extra yourself. Put in your numbers below to see the split.

An estimate, not tax advice. What gets paid is up to your employer.
Do I need an account to book?
No. You book with your name, email address and mobile number. We email you a link to your booking and to your messages with the host, so keep that email. If you do have an account, your trips show up there too, as long as you booked with the same email address.
How do I pay, and when does the host get the money?
Nothing is charged when you book. We reserve your spots and email you an invoice, which you pay by bank transfer to NatureTreats with the reference on it.
We hold the money and pay the host the day after the trip starts.
Can I ask the host something before I book?
Yes. You can ask the host a question from every trip page. No spots are held while you talk, and you can book straight from the conversation. The host never sees your email address or phone number, and you never see theirs: replies come back through us.
